Peter Deer and Associates have a term contract with the British Council for providing mechanical and electrical designs and expertise for their overseas projects.
The projects are all office and teaching centre refurbishments or fit out contracts each valued between £500, 000 and £3,000, 000. There have been a small number of award winning new build projects in Addis Ababa and Nairobi.
Peter Deer and Associates are currently assisting with a new build and refurbished education centre in Colombo. The project is a library and administration building and the refurbishment of the Colonial House.
A typical project for the British Council is the fit out of their new Prague office where a Health Club has been converted into offices and classrooms.
 
British Council - Addis Ababa

In which new offices were fitted for the British Council based in Ethiopia.

Refit of air conditioning and ventilation system to eighteen classroom education centre.

Design and development of engineering services to create a “Knowledge Learning Centre”.

Complete internal and external refurbishment, security and communication systems. A complicated and complex project undertaken in a difficult environment. Our role was one of design, project management for the whole project including the role of Contract Adminstrator.

Construction of a new office and resource centre for The British Council. New 2000m² education resource, the building is cooled and ventilated using solar shading and heavy weight construction with stack effect ventilation.
