RIBA Award
Peter Deer and Associates were awarded a RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) award for their services provided on The Foundation Centre, The Cass Sculpture Foundation Sculpture Estate. The work on this project created a new facility for seminars, events, exhibiting sculptures, housing the archives and library and providing work space for its administrators and new young artists.
Marlborough Fine Art
The building housing Marlborough Fine Art is undergoing a major refurbishment with an additional office floor built on the roof, a new lift shaft and staircase. The additional floor takes the building outside the Building Regulations and to catalog the requirement for safe evacuation, the escape route is pressurized. Peter Deer and Associates were commissioned to take on the redesign of the building services and to design the staircase pressurization. Peter Deer and Associates were chosen for this project because of their specialist skills in services co ordination of five buildings.
Unlocking The Archives Award
Peter Deer and Associates was recently awarded a Judge's Special Award in the British Construction Industry Awards, for their Unlocking The Archives project for the Royal Geographical Society.
University of Kent
Peter Deer and Associates have been commissioned to design the Building Services for the new crit space for the Department of Architecture. Architects Guy Holloway are developing a design to maximise the display space and minimise energy. By collaborating with the design team from preliminary stages, Peter Deer and Associates were able to develop an energy efficient mechanical and electrical design, successfully integrating a natural ventilation strategy able to maintain occupant comfort levels and minimise yearly energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
